Soul Food in Tampa Bay
Cooked the Old-School Way.
Tampa Bay has plenty of restaurants. It doesn't have many that still cook soul food the way it's supposed to be cooked — slow, by hand, by people who learned from their mama and her mama before her. J News BBQ Grill in St. Petersburg is one of the few. Oxtails, short ribs, turkey wings, chitterlings, and peach cobbler that tastes like Sunday dinner used to.
